Mission

The Morton Cure Paralysis Fund (MCPF) is committed to finding a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other disorders of the central nervous system.  MCPF is also a community of people that provides information and emotional support to those affected by paralysis.

Strategy

MCPF supports cutting-edge ideas, enabling researchers to gather the proof-of-concept data needed to pursue multimillion dollar grants from large financiers such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, and the National Science Foundation.  In effect, MCPF helps place new research products in the investigation pipeline.

 Research Symposium Held

The Morton Cure Paralysis Fund hosted its Fourth Annual Research Symposium Sumday, May 2 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.  The event featured Dr. Jack Kessler of the Northwestern University Stem Cell Institute.  It was a huge success.  Dr. Kessler talked about spinal cord injury research taking place around the world as well as in his laboratory.  An extensive Q&A session followed his presentation.

Click here to go to the Archives page to see the video, slides and Dr. Kessler's answers to questions he was not able to respond to the day of the event.
